GCP Architect (Google Cloud Platform Architect)

As a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Cloud Architect at Tayana Mobility Technologies (TMT), your primary responsibility will be to design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions to ensure high availability, scalability, and security. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams to optimize cloud environments and support business-critical applications. **Key Responsibilities:** - Create scalable, dependable, and secure cloud infrastructure solutions using GCP. - Lead cloud migration projects, ensuring a smooth transition to GCP from on-premises or other cloud environments. - Develop technical designs for GCP-based solutions considering scalability, performance, security, and cost-efficiency. - Design and build cloud-native applications in collaboration with development teams. - Evaluate and deploy cloud services and technologies to meet company requirements. - Ensure cloud solutions adhere to security and compliance standards. - Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, cost, and security. - Provide technical assistance and coaching on GCP best practices to engineering teams. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues with cloud infrastructure and services. - Develop and maintain documentation for cloud infrastructure, processes, and procedures. - Collaborate with stakeholders to define cloud strategies aligned with business objectives. **Required Skills and Experience:** - Minimum 3 years of experience as a Cloud Architect focused on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). - Hands-on experience with key GCP services like Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, and Cloud Storage. - Proficiency in cloud infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform and automation tools such as Ansible or Chef. - Advanced knowledge of GCP networking components, security features, and identity management tools. - Understanding of networking protocols, security design principles, and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work effectively under pressure in fast-paced environments. **Nice to Have/Preferred Skills and Experience:** - GCP certification, especially Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect. - Experience with continuous integration/delivery pipelines and DevOps approaches. - Knowledge of other cloud systems like AWS and Azure. - Design and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans. - Cost management and optimization strategies for cloud environments.
