We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Android IoT Engineer with expertise in application and SDK development to join our growing team and play a key role in the development of our next-generation Internet of Things (IoT) applications. You will be responsible for leading the technical design and implementation of complex Android features, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and a high-quality user experience. Responsibilities: Designing, developing, and maintaining Android applications for IoT devices. Creating custom Android SDK frameworks for seamless integration with IoT hardware. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure effective device communication. Optimizing IoT app performance and troubleshooting issues related to device connectivity. Building SDKs for third-party developers to integrate IoT functionality into their apps. Implementing and testing new features for both Android applications and IoT devices. Writing clear documentation for custom frameworks and SDKs. Ensuring security and privacy of IoT data in mobile apps. Conducting code reviews and providing mentorship to junior developers. Staying updated with the latest Android technologies and IoT trends. Tech Skills : 3+ years of Android application development, have at least one application release on play store. Skilled on developing and releasing a Custom Android SDK is an advantage plus point. Proficient in Android development in kotlin, with basic understanding of Core Bluetooth / Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) communication with GATT protocol. Proficient in developing UI on Compose layout in android. Expertise in implementation cloud communication with HTTPS protocol. Expertise on integrating Api and third-party libraries like Retrofit or OKHTTP in applications. Expertise on writing and execution of Unit test case, preparation of test suite and code coverage report. Skilled on Junit, Sonar code implementation. Strong debugging skills with a focus on performance and reliability. Proficient in scalable architectural patterns like MVVM and Clean architecture design patterns. Skilled in working with Azure repository for Code management, Having knowledge on JIRA /Azure tasks for task management.
