As an API Architect in Sydney, your primary responsibility will be designing and developing API proxies using Apigee Edge. You will be tasked with creating API proxies from existing Soap or Rest services and ensuring the Solution Architecture for the API platform and API on-boarding. Your role will require experience in crafting custom message policies using Java, along with a solid understanding of Soap and Restful services. Proficiency in various security policies such as BasicAuth, OAuth, WSSE token, etc., will be essential. You will be expected to have a strong grasp of API management life cycle components, including creating environments, virtual hosts, API proxies, cache, products, and publishing them to the portal. Configuration of security policies for the APIs will also be a crucial aspect of your responsibilities. Experience in designing and deploying APIs using API Designer, creating custom policies using gateway scripts or DP processing rules, and configuring message assemblies will be essential. Additionally, you should possess expertise in API management life cycle processes like publishing, deprecating, and superseding API products. Your role will also involve creating processing rules using XMLT and Gateway Scripts, as well as testing services using tools like SoapUI or Postman. Familiarity with Apigee installation and configuration, along with good communication skills and experience in Agile development, will be advantageous in excelling in this position.,
