Job Description Primary role : Provides technical & application field services & support to external customers and Agilent customer engineers. This includes reactive and pro-active actions that result in a timely and cost-effective problem resolution. Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to; Responsible for providing technical & application support for Agilent analytical instruments to existing & new customers & field engineers at identified locations at PAN India level To perform Installations, Preventive Maintenance, Repair, software & hardware IQ OQ on Agilent products Leads projects requiring coordination with other functions & customers Deliver customer education courses on-site as well at COE labs Cost & time effective application method deployment on Agilent instruments Promptly troubleshoot method/technology transfers issues from one instrument to another. Respond promptly to related customer queries & help in prompt resolution of customer escalations Training of internal & external team and provide technical support. To participate in programs to stimulate demand for all Agilent range of products/services and ensure timely and proper execution of those programs Holds product seminars for customers, prospects and employees To co-ordinate internally with all the field, sales team and Managers to ensure that the key customers are delighted Must be willing to travel extensively. Qualifications Masters/Bachelors Degree in Biotechnology/Chemistry/Analytical Chemistry/Instrumentation/Pharmacy or equivalent Relevant 4-5 years of professional experience on analytical instruments in Gas Phase chromatography domain like GC, GCHS, GCHSMS, GCMSMS etc. in Food, Pharma, Chemical & Energy, Petroleum markets etc. Experience working on Gas Analyzers & special products like GCQTOF would be preferable Excellent numerical, verbal and written communication skills along with good organizational & negotiation skills. In this role, your responsibilities include overall responsibility for on-site service job execution and completion with customer satisfaction. You will ensure executing services in accordance with Emerson Standard procedures and within the specified time schedule. It is essential to prepare detailed site visit reports/MOM and obtain signed-off approval from the customer after the completion of each job. Work experience with products such as Gas Analyzers, Liquid analyzers, Steam and Water Analysis System (SWAS), GC, Sample Handling System, Gas Detectors, Digital communication protocols, CEMS, Shelter and Logic, HVAC, and a brief understanding of Refinery process, Power Plant process, etc., is also necessary. Preferred qualifications that set you apart include a Bachelor's degree in Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering with a minimum of 2-4 years of work experience. In this role, your responsibilities will include planning and monitoring Internal and Customer FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) schedules. You will review and interpret project quality and engineering documents to ensure compliance with customer requirements and international standards. Identifying and defining test requirements and procedures specific to metering systems will be part of your duties. Additionally, you will prepare and maintain FAT procedures and checklists, ensuring the availability and calibration of testing instruments and calibration cylinders. Conducting incoming material inspections and routine quality checks at the Talegaon facility will also be a key responsibility. You will be responsible for performing internal testing of Analytical Systems, Sample Handling Systems (SHS), and related instrumentation during pre-FAT. Generating, tracking, and issuing Calibration and FAT reports will be part of your role, along with leading FAT sessions with customers to demonstrate system functionality, communication, and logic testing. Investigating equipment failures during testing or warranty claims, supporting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective Actions (CA), and identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities will also be within your scope of work. Ensuring compliance with quality standards, procedures, work instructions, templates, and demonstrating adherence during internal, project, or external audits will be essential. To be successful in this role, you will need a minimum qualification of a Diploma or Bachelors in Instrumentation Engineering or a related discipline, with 2 to 8 years of experience in testing functions related to instrumentation and control systems. Hands-on experience with the configuration, testing, calibration, and communication of Process Liquid and Gas Analyzers like GC, CEMS etc. is required. Familiarity with Analytical Systems, Sample Handling Systems, and Control Panels is also necessary. Strong documentation, reporting, and communication skills are essential, with experience supporting both domestic and international customers. Proficiency in reading and interpreting P&IDs, wiring diagrams, GA drawings, cause & effect matrices, and technical specifications is expected. Knowledge of international standards such as NEC, ISO 9001, and IEC (Area Classification, Ingress Protection) will be beneficial. Industry experience in Oil & Gas, Chemical, Petrochemical, or Service sectors is preferred.
