Location: Noida (India)/Remote Reports to: Project Director Engagement: Full-time/Part-time (Both options available) Duration: 6-9 months, Project-based (negotiable) Travel Requirement: Project-related travel within India for client meetings or data collection Role purpose Provide technical support in the health-economics workstream for a comprehensive Health Economics & Societal Value study. The candidate will assist the Project Director in designing and executing CEA and BIA models, quantifying direct/indirect costs, and societal impact (including productivity and informal care), and translating evidence into decision-ready outputs for payers and policy stakeholders. Key responsibilities 1) Evidence synthesis Conduct a targeted, systematic and focused literature review on clinical, economic and humanistic burden of disease – Examples, Clinical safety and efficacy, direct and indirect costs, QoL and utilities, economic evaluations and epidemiology Clinical, economic and humanistic inputs: disease-specific measures, general preference-based measures, clinical outcomes, adherence, resource use, and cost categories Documentation and reporting. 2) Real-world data planning & inputs Define data needs (progression, relapse, utilisation, employment/income loss) and work with clinical/KOL partners to source registry or RWD inputs; structure expert-elicitation where gaps exist. 3) Economic modelling Build economic models using suitable techniques/methods such as decision tree, Markov or microsimulations to estimate ICERs (cost/QALY) , time to event progression, and clinical outcomes. Identify and estimate both direct medical costs (treatment, visits, hospitalisations) and indirect costs (productivity loss, caregiver burden) from the RCTs, RWEs or KOL inputs. Run scenario and sensitivity analyses across baseline and multiple comparators (C1…Cn). Develop a budget impact analysis (short- or long-term) from payer and societal perspectives. Able to analyse, interpret and communicate the findings in an appropriate format to stakeholders (Clients, payers and policymakers). Able to estimate and analyse the societal and GDP impact using income loss, cost of event costs averted, productivity retained, and potential contribution to GDP. Conduct deterministic and probabilistic sensitivity analyses to identify and address uncertainties. Able to test alternative strategies and scenarios based on treatment durations, workforce reintegration rates, and price trends. 4) Reporting, publications & stakeholder translation Expertise in writing and communicating findings of literature reviews and cost-effectiveness & budget impact analyses, e.g., technical reports, presentations, executive summaries, policy briefs, stakeholder slide deck, and publications to non-technical audiences. 5) Project & quality management Own workplan and checkpoints aligned to the project timelines; maintain version-controlled codebooks and traceable evidence logs; adhere to internal QA and model validation routines. Required qualifications & skills Education: Master’s or PhD in Health Economics and/or policy, Pharmacoeconomics, Public Health, statistics, or related field with a strong economic and biostatistical background. Experience: 6 plus years of experience in HEOR with hands-on expertise in CE and BI models and literature reviews (SLR/TLR/focused review) ; prior work in chronic NCDs preferred; exposure to Indian payer/policy context advantageous. Technical: Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel, R (e.g., heemod, BCEA), Python , or TreeAge. Able to conduct microsimulations, DSA, PSA, value-of-information analysis and literature reviews. Communication: Ability to translate complex economic concepts and analysis into actionable insights for clinicians, payers, policy makers and non-technical audiences; strong scientific writing and presentation skills required. Success metrics (KPIs) Model credibility (face/content validity with clinical advisors), transparency (fully reproducible code & inputs), and decision-usefulness (clear ICER/BIA outputs and societal impact quantification). On-time delivery of all contractually required outputs aligned to the project deliverables and timeline. Nice-to-have Prior engagement with payer submissions/HTA dossiers; experience drafting policy briefs and manuscripts; familiarity with chronic NCDs natural history and treatment pathways.
