Description : To oversee landscape design processes for assigned projects across regions, ensuring the same are delivered in alignment with company objectives while incorporating a sustainable approach. The role would be responsible for selecting design consultants, standardizing processes, development of landscape designs, providing value engineering solutions, and mitigating project risks for ensuring timely execution of projects within budget. Purpose : To oversee the development of unique landscape designs for assigned projects across various regions, ensuring alignment with project objectives while focusing on innovation, efficiency and sustainability thereby enhancing brand value in the market. Key Result Areas Principal Accountabilities Design Strategy and Budgeting - Conduct market research to benchmark against competitors and identify key differentiators to enhance end-user experience. Contribute insights on market trends and industry innovations to shape design vision in alignment with the company's vision. Review the budgets and submit for further review and approval to the Design Head. Design Management - Develop comprehensive Design Brief Documents for all projects, integrating inputs from various stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives. Conduct kick-off meetings with landscape design consultants, providing detailed project requirements and expectations regarding design aspect. Co-ordinate with consultants for getting the drawings done with respect to concept, schematic, detailed drawings, GFA and Good for Construction (GFC). Review drawings received from consultants, offering corrective feedback on concept, schematic, and provide support for detailed, and Good for Construction drawings and submit to region. Conduct periodic site visits and reviews, providing feedback to landscape consultants. Create and maintain project dashboards, to monitor progress in terms of budgets, timelines, and efficiency. Review proposed changes in concept drawings and provide approval in consultation with the Design Head to the landscape consultants. Coordinate with maintenance and upkeep agencies for landscape maintenance before and during construction phases. Ensure timely decisions on the necessity of nurseries, local sourcing, and on-site plantation before construction begins. Ensure that all landscape drawings comply with relevant regulatory standards and environmental & building codes and ensure documentation is sent to MOEF authorities. Consultant Management - Assist the Design Head in establishing criteria for selecting landscape consultants, based on expertise and project requirements. Float RFP along with the design brief document for inviting quotes from consultants. Prepare technical evaluation reports and comparative analyses of consultant proposals, conduct negotiations, and obtain sign-off and approval from relevant stakeholders for consultant appointments. Monitor and assess consultant performance and take appropriate actions for underperforming consultants with approval from the Design Head. Innovation and Efficiency Enhancement - Implement standardization initiatives across design processes and practices to ensure consistency and efficiency in project execution. Provide Value Engineering solutions at every stage of design development for cost-saving opportunities and enhance project value without compromising quality. Evaluate existing processes and workflows to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies, and develop solutions to optimize project delivery and performance. Explore new materials and collaborate with the Purchase team to select green-rated products that align with sustainability standards and design intent. Develop a material library and vendor database with an emphasis on native plant species and sustainable landscape elements for creating resilient and eco-friendly outdoor spaces. Risk Management - Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and facility management teams to address quality issues within the Defect Liability Period (DLP). Identify potential risks associated with design decisions and project execution across all regions. Assess the impact of identified risks on project timelines, budgets, and quality across regions. Develop risk mitigation strategies and action plans to address identified risks. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of risk mitigation efforts throughout the project lifecycle across regions.

Foster a safe and efficient working environment for staff. Operational & Budget Management: Analyze horticultural yields, operational costs, and efficiency metrics. Develop and manage budgets related to landscaping, crop cultivation, and equipment maintenance. Monitor expenses and optimize resource utilization for cost-effectiveness. Procure necessary plants, seeds, fertilizers, and equipment while negotiating contracts with suppliers. New Development: Develop new plant-based products, such as nursery plants and ornamental landscaping features. Implement innovative horticultural techniques to enhance sustainability. Research and recommend new plant species, cultivation methods, and landscaping trends. Compliance & Sustainability: Ensure compliance with local agricultural regulations and organic farming requirements. Promote eco-friendly landscaping and horticulture practices. Implement strategies for water conservation, soil health improvement, and waste reduction. Maintain detailed records of horticultural activities for compliance and reporting purposes.
