Junior Live Ops Game Designer Type: Full-time At BattleBucks , were building the next generation of a competitive gaming platform , one that keeps players coming back every day with fresh content, exciting challenges, and rewarding experiences. Were looking for a Junior Live Ops Game Designer with 3-6 months of prior experience running live events in mobile games. The ideal candidate is passionate about creating engaging, limited-time events and gameplay twists that keep players excited, motivated, and deeply connected to our platform. Youll collaborate with our game design, product, and analytics teams to plan, design, and execute live events, new gameplay hooks, and event-based systems . What Youll Do Design and manage Limited Time Events (LTEs) that drive engagement and retention. Design new gameplay modes or twists specifically tailored for events. Create and balance event-specific mechanics (boosts, modifiers, rewards). Own and maintain the Live Ops calendar , ensuring smooth scheduling and rollout. Conduct market research (R&D) to analyze event trends in top mobile games. Write design documents for events and communicate them clearly to the team. Collaborate with analytics to track event KPIs and improve based on player data. Brainstorm and prototype seasonal, cultural, and promotional events (e.g., holidays, collabs). Ensure events integrate seamlessly with existing game loops and progression systems. Monitor player feedback and community sentiment around events and propose iterations. What You Bring 36 months of prior experience in Live Ops design or event design in mobile games (internship or junior role). Understanding of mobile gaming trends (hypercasual, casual, mid-core). Creativity to design fun and fresh gameplay hooks for events. Strong organizational skills to manage an event calendar . Ability to write clear design documents and collaborate across teams. Basic familiarity with game analytics and KPIs (DAU, retention, engagement, ARPDAU). Bonus: Experience with Unity. What Youll Learn How to design and run live operations at scale in mobile games. About the Role: Were looking for a creative, data-driven Game Designer to join our team and help build world-class, free-to-play casual mobile games. As a core team member of a new Business Unit at Gameskraft, youll be instrumental in launching and scaling our flagship casual mobile game titles. Youll collaborate closely with artists, engineers, product and live-ops to design engaging core loops, monetisation (IAP) funnels, progression systems and social features that drive retention and revenue on a global scale. Key Responsibilities: Game Concept & Systems Design: Develop and iterate on core gameplay loops, progression systems, reward economies and IAP funnels tailored for casual audiences. Write and maintain detailed design documentation, flowcharts, wireframes and interactive prototypes. Monetization & Live-Ops Design and balance in-game currencies, item shops, sales promotions, events and A/B tests to optimize ARPDAU and LTV. Analyse engagement and purchase data; collaborate with the analytics Team to identify opportunities and iterate on features. Portfolio: Demonstrable case studies of systems youve designedespecially IAP funnels, progression loops or card/board-style mechanics. Proficiency with Unity (pivoting designs into working prototypes). Strong grasp of F2P economy design, live-ops strategies and A/B testing frameworks.
