Role & responsibilities: Oversee all painting and surface preparation activities including blasting, priming, and final coating. Ensure adherence to prescribed paint specifications (liquid, powder, galvanizing touch-up, etc.). Manage workflow and manpower to meet daily production targets. Implement and maintain quality standards (ISO). Conduct regular inspection of paint thickness, adhesion, finish, and curing. Work with QC teams to address reworks and non-conformance issues. Lead and supervise a team of painters, helpers, and technicians. Conduct training sessions on surface preparation, painting techniques, and safety practices. Evaluate performance and foster a high-performance team culture. Ensure compliance with EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) regulations. Promote safe work practices in handling chemicals, equipment, and PPE. Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures in the paint shop. Optimize paint consumption and reduce wastage. Implement lean techniques (5S, Kaizen) to improve productivity and reduce cycle time. Drive automation or semi-automation initiatives in painting where feasible. Preferred candidate profile: Education : Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Coatings, or related field. Experience : 8 to 12 years in industrial painting or coating operations, with at least 35 years in a managerial role. Experience in a steel fabrication , pole manufacturing , or large infrastructure component painting is preferred.

The role demands strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage all operations of the hot dip galvanizing plant. Ensure adherence to galvanizing standards such as IS 2629, IS 4759, ASTM A123, and BS EN ISO 1461. Supervise pre-treatment (degreasing, pickling, fluxing), galvanizing, and finishing processes. Monitor and control zinc bath parameters, temperature, and chemical composition. Optimize zinc consumption and reduce process waste through continuous improvement. Coordinate with fabrication, quality, and dispatch teams to meet production targets. Maintain galvanizing equipment and schedule preventive maintenance. Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations. Train and develop the galvanizing team to enhance productivity and quality. Maintain documentation for process control, quality assurance, and audits. Qualifications: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Metallurgical / Chemical Engineering. 08–12 years of experience in hot dip galvanizing, preferably in structural steel or tower manufacturing. In-depth knowledge of galvanizing chemistry, process control, and quality standards. Experience in managing teams and galvanizing plant operations. Preferred Skills: Certification in Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma. Familiarity with ERP systems and galvanizing automation. Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
