Job Description

Circulation Support Clerk SUMMARY This position performs data processing tasks that are key to the circulation operations of the company, including both home delivery and single copy sales. They work hand in hand with other departments on related tasks, including transportation, mailroom, nance, marketing and advertising. RESPONSIBILITIES Tasks that this group performs: Process subscriber transactions for Inquirer and Daily News plus all partner publications through the DSI. Run audits of subscriber database to ensure integrity and accuracy of the data used for distribution of printed newspaper products. Perform routing maintenance functions to support the circulation database, working in conjunction with the district and regional managers in home delivery. Create and maintain routes in the circulation system, including entry of independent contractor and dealer data, account creation, assignment of rate codes, and draw adjustments as necessary. Process subscriber billing for home delivery subscribers on a weekly basis. Run the day-end processing that generates the distribution data used by the home delivery and single copy sales operations. Run manifest reports used by production and mailroom departments in the manufacturing process of the daily newspapers. Detail of tasks that are currently run, but limited to: Carrier File Maintenance Add rate methods to carrier rate codes Route Maintenance - for all pubs District Number/ADI changes as needed Process all Alternate pub daily/weekly les (starts/stops/complaints) Process daily/weekly alternate pub audits Process Mather product change les Research alternate pub batch errors Draw Adjustments - PMN and Alternate Pub Bulk WSJ Academic and Amenity account/draw maintenance Late changes (SCS) Manifest processing Single Copy Maintenance Drop changes Process trucking changes Generate subscriber lists Run Circulation Reports Run weekly subscriber billing Run weekly retention report Unlock DSI users Complaint reporting to eld managers Fix NOROUTE accounts Create mailing labels and reports for mailroom Run Sunday day-end processing for SCS
