The Remanufacturing Technician will perform various operations on Traction Motor Combo components utilizing manual and automated equipment as per quality procedures. You will be responsible for disassembly, cleaning, requalification, rework, and assembly while ensuring compliance with internal inspection criteria. Your role will involve supporting lean manufacturing principles like 5s and single-piece flow to meet required takt time. At times, you may need to carry out special processes such as welding or non-destructive testing, requiring specific training or certification. Responsibilities: - Execute tasks in adherence to EHS policies and procedures for a safe work environment. - Provide manufacturing support for the production or remanufacture of UX Traction Motor Combo components. - Utilize manual and automated production equipment, along with hydraulic or pneumatic tools, to meet manufacturing and quality standards. - Inspect completed work using fixtures, precision measuring devices, and testing protocols to ensure compliance with quality and engineering requirements. - Verify and sign-off the process documentation for each work step performed. - Process components according to internal requirements and standards. - Perform any additional duties as assigned. Qualifications: - Preferred high school diploma / GED. - Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting. - Familiarity with EHS procedures and policies. - Proficiency in using manual equipment and hand tools safely. - Knowledge of inspection measurement equipment and manufacturing procedures in a lean environment. Training requirements: - Progress through on-the-job training safely. - Successfully complete quality audits following internal procedures for assigned product line and equipment. - Demonstrate the ability to safely operate manual or automated equipment, use required gauges for inspection, and document inspection results. - Maintain acceptable defect rates. - Complete safety and special process training or certification where applicable. - Capable of lifting up to 75lbs.
