Furniture cutting list specialist/Production planner

As a Furniture Cutting List Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate breakdown of furniture design drawings for production. Your responsibilities will include: - Study and analyze furniture design drawings, shop drawings, or CAD layouts to understand the complete furniture items. - Break down furniture items like wardrobes, counters, and tables into individual parts that need to be cut. - Prepare a cutting list with precise dimensions (length, width, thickness), materials (plywood, MDF, veneer, laminate, glass, metal, etc.), edgebanding requirements, and quantity of each part. - Optimize material usage to minimize wastage and ensure cost-effective production. - Coordinate with the design team to clarify any discrepancies in drawings and communicate effectively with the factory or production team. - Ensure cutting lists are prepared in a timely manner to meet production deadlines and update them as needed based on design changes or site measurements. To excel in this role, you should have the following skills and qualifications: - Good understanding of furniture construction and joinery. - Ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately. - Knowledge of materials such as wood, boards, and laminates. - Attention to detail and accuracy in preparing cutting lists. - Basic computer knowledge, including proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, and ERP software. - Strong coordination and communication skills to collaborate effectively with different teams.
