Fund Accounting Team Lead

Location:

Vikhroli, Mumbai

Experience Required:

3-8 years

Shift:

UK shift hybrid (1-10 PM)

Position Overview

As a Team Lead in the Fund Accounting team, you will be responsible for the delivery of accurate and timely NAVs. The role includes performing various types of reconciliation between clients general ledger data and market data providers, including custody and prime brokers, as well as fund administrators. This position offers a blend of product knowledge and the use of technology.

Responsibilities include accounting for corporate actions, booking of trading and non-trading accruals, portfolio pricing, and computation and analysis of profit and loss. You will coordinate with clients and relevant external sources for break resolution. The role requires the ability to work under tight deadlines, maintain quality delivery as per standard operating procedures, and possess excellent communication skills.

Position Responsibilities

Managing open/close ended hedge funds, including reconciliation and integration of trades for clients.
Accounting/booking of corporate actions trades.
Daily, weekly, and monthly GAV/NAV preparation, including booking of capital activities.
Market value reconciliation.
Computation of profit and loss for financial instruments.
Expense accounting.
Dividend accrual reconciliation.
Bond coupon accrual reconciliation.
Confirming trial balance ledgers tie-up with various sub-ledgers.

Qualifications

Any graduate with 3-4 years of experience.
In-depth understanding of preparing and reviewing Financial Statements (US GAAP, IFRS).
Good understanding of financial/capital market products including equity, bonds, futures, options, FX forwards.
Proficient in MS Excel and formulas.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Certification course in Financial Markets/Products (preferred).
Experience with general ledger accounting software (preferred).
Experience in mutual funds accounting/audit (preferred).
