You should have 2-5 years of experience with a background in Mechanical Engineering and possess a strong knowledge of Mechanical components, along with an interest in inspection and documentation. Your responsibilities will include conducting dimensional, visual, and functional inspections of mechanical components, assemblies, and products based on drawings, specifications, and standards. You will need to utilize measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and dial indicators. Additionally, you will be responsible for performing incoming inspections, verifying welding, machining, fabrication, and surface finish requirements, preparing and maintaining inspection reports, test records, and quality documentation, reporting non-conformities (NCR), and ensuring proper documentation of deviations. It is essential to maintain calibration records of measuring instruments used in inspection. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in inspection, basic knowledge of ERP, knowledge of SCAR, defects identification, RCCA, knowledge of MRB process, and proficiency in handling basic instruments like Vernier, micrometer, height gauge, bevel protractor, and bore gauge. You will be responsible for managing the overall process of functional and visual inspection of vehicles before dispatch. This includes ensuring stringent checks and inspections are conducted, which also includes thorough cleaning and washing of the vehicles. Your duties will involve inspecting all completed work, ensuring proper documentation of all work, and reporting any deviations to the Manager. Additionally, you will be required to test-drive the vehicles to ensure they are operating as designed. As part of your role, you will need to perform in-process testing and inspection to ensure that parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards. You will also be responsible for inspecting assemblies and sub-assemblies for quality before proceeding to the next step in the procedure. Thoroughly inspecting all finished products following a standardized checklist will be a key aspect of your responsibilities. You will also need to maintain records and report any defects, non-conformance, or substandard conditions identified during the inspection process. Furthermore, you will be responsible for training, motivating, and coordinating employees to work safely, efficiently, and to exceptional quality standards. Your role will require ensuring that all employees adhere to the specified quality standards and procedures in place. To be eligible for this position, you should have a graduation degree (any discipline) and possess a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
