The Genetics & Biochemistry department at Clemson University is seeking a highly motivated individual to join The Lewis Lab. The lab focuses on utilizing population and functional genomics to investigate the molecular mechanisms and evolutionary processes underlying adaptive evolution. Located in picturesque Clemson, SC, our R1 institution offers a stimulating academic environment in close proximity to the natural beauty of Lake Hartwell and the Blue Ridge mountains. Greenville, SC is just 40 minutes away, and there are 5 national forests within a 2-hour drive, providing ample outdoor recreational opportunities. The ideal candidate for this position will hold a PhD in biology, evolutionary biology, genetics, genomics, or a related field. Proficiency in Spanish and experience in sample collection in Central and/or South America are required. While experience with large genomic datasets is preferred, it is not mandatory.
