As the Deputy General Manager - ETS at Lauritz Knudsen Electrical and Automation, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the quality assurance of tooling components and assemblies. You will oversee all inspection activities to guarantee the highest standards of quality. In addition, you will be expected to utilize your expertise in metrology to effectively use equipment such as callipers, CMM, and optical measurement tools for precise measurements. Managing the calibration process for all measuring instruments will be a crucial part of your role. This includes identifying calibration requirements, determining calibration frequencies, and maintaining accurate records to ensure accuracy and traceability. You will also be tasked with optimizing inspection processes, developing efficient procedures, and guiding subordinates in proper instrument selection and handling. Monitoring First Pass Yield (FPY) and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) metrics will be essential to identify areas for improvement. You will be required to analyze dimensional data using statistical methods, tools like histograms, control-charts, and capability analysis to assess process capability and control. Collaborating with the machine shop to ensure on-time delivery of inspected tooling components will also be part of your responsibilities. Maintaining accurate inspection records and documentation, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and leading the inspection team to achieve performance objectives are key aspects of this role. Your in-depth knowledge of metrology principles, strong understanding of quality control methodologies, and proficiency in using various measuring instruments will be crucial for success. Additionally, your knowledge of statistical process control techniques, problem-solving skills, and ability to lead and mentor team members will be vital in meeting performance objectives. Your role will also involve maintaining QMS standards, possessing functional competencies in press tool & mould maintenance, sheet metal press working, and machining, as well as knowledge in material science and tool steel. Strong analytical skills, competencies in fits & tolerances, and understanding of different analytical tools and techniques will be beneficial. Excellent communication and presentation skills, digital acumen, and the ability to interact effectively with customers and senior management are also required. Overall, your role as the Deputy General Manager - ETS will encompass ensuring quality assurance, optimizing inspection processes, driving continuous improvement, and leading the inspection team towards achieving performance objectives in line with the company's standards and goals.,
