Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Automation Test Engineer with expertise in both API and UI Automation to join our team in the Retail Banking domain . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java development, REST API testing with Rest Assured , and UI automation using Selenium WebDriver . Key Responsibilities : Automation Framework Development : Build, enhance, and maintain automation frameworks for both UI and API testing. UI Automation : Automate Web UI tests using Selenium WebDriver , ensuring high-quality, responsive, and performant user interfaces. API Automation : Automate REST API tests using Rest Assured and Core Java , ensuring end-to-end functionality, reliability, and performance. Business Requirements Analysis : Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze business requirements for global banking applications and document them for automation purposes. Testing and Documentation : Create and execute detailed test cases for UI and API testing and document test results and defects in JIRA . Agile & CI/CD : Work within an Agile environment, contributing to in-sprint automation , and collaborating with DevOps teams to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins . Collaboration : Work closely with the development team to ensure high-quality, bug-free releases in line with customer expectations and business requirements. Required Skills : API Automation with tools like Rest Assured and Core Java . UI Automation using Selenium WebDriver . Strong understanding of REST APIs , HTTP , JSON protocols, and syntax . Hands-on experience with Core Java , Selenium WebDriver , and Java IDEs . Agile Methodology experience, especially within SAFe framework, with a focus on in-sprint automation . Experience with Cucumber , BDD methodology , Gherkin syntax , and Jenkins CI/CD .
