The Opportunity: An exciting opportunity at ECI for a Sr. Backend Engineer has arisen. We are looking for a skilled Backend Engineer with expertise in ETL processes and code conversion. The ideal candidate will excel in managing data ingestion, maintaining code repositories, and rewriting Python scripts in C#. This is an Onsite role. What you will do: ETL Support: - Develop and maintain ETL processes for ingesting data from third-party FTP/SFTP accounts. - Create reports based on business use cases. - Ensure data integrity and accuracy during the ETL process. Code Rewriting: - Rewrite existing Python code (using Flask library) in C# within the .NET framework. - Ensure the new codebase is efficient, maintainable, and scalable. Application Support: - Provide support for front-end applications. - Upgrade AngularJS components as needed. - Troubleshoot and resolve application issues promptly. Code Maintenance: - Access and maintain code in GitHub. - Manage manual deployment processes. - Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices. Who you are: Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Experience: Proven experience in ETL processes, backend development, and code conversion. Technical Skills: - Proficiency in Python and C#. - Experience with Flask and .NET framework. - Strong knowledge of front-end technologies, including AngularJS. - Familiarity with GitHub for code management. - Understanding of FTP/SFTP protocols for data ingestion. Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and experience with data analysis. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Project Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Bonus (Nice to have): - Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. - Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment. - Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js).
