Sony Pictures Networks India is seeking a dynamic, results-driven Regional Head Ad Sales for our Free-to-Air (FTA) channels. The incumbent will be responsible for driving ad sales revenue in the assigned region, building strong client and agency relationships, and leading a high-performing sales team. This role demands strategic thinking, deep market understanding, and the ability to deliver consistent business growth. POSITION SPECIFICATION Education Bachelors or Masters degree in Business, Marketing, Media Management, or equivalent training/work experience. Overall Experience 13+ years of experience in media ad sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing regional sales teams. Experience in FTA channels or television ad sales is highly preferred. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Revenue Generation: Drive ad sales revenue for FTA channels in the assigned region, meeting and exceeding annual sales targets. Identify and tap into new revenue streams through innovative ad sales solutions. Client & Agency Relationship Management: Build and nurture relationships with key advertisers, media agencies, and decision-makers. Ensure consistent engagement to understand client needs and offer customized advertising solutions. Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and motivate the regional ad sales team to deliver business objectives. Drive performance through clear goal setting, training, and performance reviews. Market Intelligence: Monitor competitive activity, market trends, and audience insights to inform sales strategy. Collaborate with research and marketing teams to leverage data in client pitches. Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with central sales, content, and marketing teams to align regional initiatives with network objectives. Contribute to pricing strategies, packaging, and value proposition development. BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES Strong leadership with the ability to inspire and drive performance. Strategic mindset with a results-driven approach. Excellent negotiation and influencing skills. Ability to manage high-pressure situations with composure. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES Deep understanding of the television ad sales ecosystem, especially FTA channels. Proficiency in sales forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM tools. Strong presentation and communication skills. Ability to interpret ratings, audience insights, and research data to strengthen sales pitches.
