Fruit and Veg Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Fruits & Vegetables (F&V) Staff is responsible for ensuring the freshness, quality, and proper display of all fruits and vegetables in the hypermarket. The role includes receiving, cleaning, sorting, stocking, and maintaining products while ensuring hygiene and safety standards are strictly followed to deliver a superior shopping experience to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and inspect fruits and vegetables for quality, freshness, and quantity.
• Clean, trim, and prepare items for display and sale.
• Arrange and replenish stock in the display area following merchandising standards.
• Monitor and maintain proper temperature and storage conditions.
• Remove damaged or expired items promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the F&V section at all times.
• Assist customers with product selection and provide information when required.
• Record wastage and report discrepancies to the supervisor.
• Coordinate with the purchasing and inventory teams for stock updates.
• Follow all food safety and handling guidelines.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in a fruits and vegetables section, grocery store, or hypermarket preferred.
• Basic knowledge of fruits, vegetables, and their storage requirements.
• Ability to lift, carry, and handle fresh produce safely.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality and hygiene standards.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
