Application Planner Profile Summary Candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering or a related field, and extensive experience in designing and specifying HVAC systems for various building types. Candidate must be proficient in using AutoCAD and other design software to create accurate and detailed HVAC drawings. Candidate role requires a deep understanding of industry standards, codes (e.g., ASHRAE, ISHRAE, SMACNA). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are crucial for optimizing system performance and addressing complex design challenges. Key Responsibilities * Design and Planning: Develop and manage comprehensive plans for HVAC and air conditioning projects. * AutoCAD Proficiency: Utilize AutoCAD software to produce precise 2D and 3D drawings of HVAC ductwork, piping, equipment placement, and system schematics. * Technical Specification: Select and specify appropriate HVAC equipment, including VRF, chillers, ducted, package, boilers, air handling units (AHUs), fans, and control systems. * Code Compliance: Ensure all designs and plans adhere to local, state, and national building codes, as well as industry standards like those from the Indian & American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE & ASHRAE). * Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, project managers, and clients to integrate HVAC systems seamlessly with other building systems and to meet project goals. * Calculations and Analysis: Perform load calculations, airflow analysis, and energy simulations to design systems that are both effective and energy-efficient. Required Experience and Skills * Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related discipline is highly preferred. * Professional Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in HVAC design, application planning, or a similar role. * Software Proficiency: Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD is essential. Familiarity with other design and simulation software (e.g., Revit MEP, Trane TRACE 700, Carrier HAP) is a significant advantage. * Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and clients.
