Frontend Software Engineer, Angular

As a software engineer at Tesla, you will be part of a team dedicated to developing internal tools that streamline the management of design, permitting, and installation of energy products and systems. Your focus will be on creating a stable and scalable platform that caters to all existing Tesla Energy and Vehicle products, as well as future introductions. The ultimate goal of your role is to empower internal employees by providing them with tools to track, standardize, automate, and optimize every aspect of an energy installation project. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, develop, and maintain applications and systems within the team's domain. - Write clean, performant, and well-tested code to implement new features and address bugs. - Collaborate with QA for timely regression testing and work on unit and integration tests. - Monitor system metrics, respond to alerts, and troubleshoot production issues as needed. - Investigate existing system functionality and suggest technical enhancements. - Partner with Product, Design, and Business stakeholders to prioritize feature development. - Communicate project estimates, dependencies, and blockers to relevant stakeholders promptly. - Lead feature development from design through testing to production release. - Enhance application scalability, maintainability, availability, and visibility. - Document newly implemented technologies and application features. **Qualifications Required:** - Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience. - Proficiency in web technologies like HTTP, REST, AJAX, and JSON. - Strong skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript / ES6, including DOM manipulation and JS object model. - Solid grasp of database principles, especially SQL querying and updating. - Thorough understanding of REST principles and best practices for building and consuming RESTful APIs. - Familiarity with core design principles and patterns of Angular. - Experience with front-end development tools such as Vite, NPM, Yarn, etc. - Knowledge of GraphQL is a valuable asset.
