Frontend Engineer (Cisco Spaces)

If you are passionate about scalable backend systems, have a solid foundation in software engineering principles, and are excited about working on core libraries and streaming data applications, this role is perfect for you. **Role Overview:** - Develop interactive and high-performance web applications using React.js, Redux, TypeScript, and modern UI libraries - Design and maintain backend services using Java, Kotlin, Vert.x, and RESTful APIs - Create and utilize streaming data applications for real-time data processing - Build and support core libraries, frameworks, and infrastructure components - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define architecture and technical requirements **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and optimize relational and NoSQL databases (Graph DB, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.) - Build and deploy microservices on AWS, with experience in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS) - Implement RESTful APIs for seamless integration with frontend applications - Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code with a focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability - Work closely with product managers, designers, and QA teams in an Agile/Scrum environment **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's degree (or above) in Engineering/Computer Science - 8+ years of experience in JavaScript, ReactJS, Redux, TypeScript, and Java - Proven experience with Java, REST APIs, and Web Applications - Proficiency in ReactJS, modern JavaScript (ES6+), and Redux - Experience with NoSQL databases and large-scale cloud applications (AWS) - Familiarity with microservices architecture and distributed systems Cisco Spaces encourages applicants to apply even if they do not meet all the preferred qualifications.
