Front-End Software Development Engineer II (L09)

Role Overview: As a Front-End Software Development Engineer II at Synchrony, you will collaborate with the User Experience team to design visually appealing and user-friendly online applications. You will be involved in various innovation initiatives, such as hack-a-thons and partnership events with universities, to bring fresh ideas to the table. Key Responsibilities: - Develop exceptional web applications using ReactJS, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript - Collaborate with a distributed development team - Contribute to creating an outstanding online user experience - Engage in agile sprints with cross-functional teams, including planning, daily standups, backlog grooming, and reviews - Identify and resolve production defects, troubleshoot systems, and implement solutions - Partner with third-party vendors for software development and integration - Undertake additional tasks and special projects as assigned Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field with a minimum of 2 years of experience in web application development; OR, in absence of a degree, 4 years of professional web application development experience - At least 2 years of hands-on experience in web application development - Proficiency in building responsive web applications using ReactJS, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript - Familiarity with agile development practices - Experience in developing React component libraries and utilizing tools like NPM - Knowledge of continuous integration environments such as Jenkins - Ability to build and deploy applications - Skills in unit testing frameworks, UI test cases, and Test-driven development (TDD) - Understanding of implementing Accessibility (ADA) and Analytics requirements Additional Company Details: Synchrony is a leading consumer financial services company with a strong focus on diversity and inclusion.
