Front-End Shopify Developer (with SEO Focus)

As a Front-End Shopify Developer with a focus on SEO, you will play a crucial role in developing and customizing Shopify themes and apps to create high-converting e-commerce experiences. Your primary responsibility will be Shopify front-end and app development, with a secondary focus on SEO optimization and site performance enhancements. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, marketing, and product stakeholders to translate requirements into responsive and engaging user experiences. Your expertise in Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Shopify APIs will be essential in extending store functionality, automating workflows, and supporting complex business needs. Key Responsibilities: Development (80%): - Develop or customize Shopify apps using Shopify APIs, webhooks, and Shopify Functions to enhance store functionality. - Build, customize, and maintain Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. - Translate mockups and requirements into responsive, high-converting experiences in collaboration with design and content teams. - Implement custom sections, features, and micro-interactions to improve user experience. - Conduct A/B testing and data-driven updates to optimize UX and increase conversion rates. - Create reusable components and scalable architecture for long-term maintainability. - Optimize front-end code for performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility. - Integrate APIs and third-party services as needed to extend Shopify functionality. - Troubleshoot and resolve front-end bugs and theme-related issues efficiently. Performance & SEO Optimization (20%): - Monitor and enhance Shopify site speed and Core Web Vitals for both mobile and desktop platforms. - Implement on-site SEO best practices such as meta tags, alt attributes, semantic HTML, and structured data. - Utilize tools like Google Lighthouse, GTmetrix, and Search Console to identify and address performance bottlenecks. - Collaborate with marketing and content teams to align technical SEO efforts with broader business and content strategies. - Evaluate the impact of third-party apps on site performance and recommend alternatives when necessary.
