Logistics & Vehicle Management Oversee daily route planning, dispatch scheduling, vehicle utilization, and last-mile delivery. Optimize fleet costs through planning and route efficiency. Ensure on time, accurate, and damage-free store deliveries. Inventory Management & Control Ensure accurate stock levels through robust physical verification, tagging, and bin location mapping. Monitor stock aging, damage, shrinkage, and warehouse hygiene. Develop and monitor KPIs like picking efficiency, order accuracy, fill rates etc. Vendor & Cost Management Negotiate contracts with third-party logistics, warehouse services, and fleet vendors to ensure cost optimization. Track vendor performance through SLAs and KPIs. Evaluate opportunities for cost savings without compromising service quality. SOP Implementation & Compliance Develop, implement, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for warehouse and logistics. Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence and identify areas for improvement. Implement safety protocols for warehouse and transport operations. Ensure compliance with statutory and legal requirements (labour laws, EHS etc.). Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Provide regular reports to management on performance, cost savings, and challenges. Technology & Process Optimization Leverage WMS and logistics software to improve transparency and real-time control. Automate reporting and tracking tools for warehouse health metrics. Drive automation initiatives to improve turnaround time and reduce manual errors. Identify and implement innovative technologies for productivity improvement. Team Leadership Lead a cross-location team of warehouse managers, supervisors, and logistics staff. Drive capability building through training, motivation, and accountability. Foster a performance-driven, safety-first culture. Preferred candidate profile Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred). Minimum 12 years of experience in warehouse/logistics operations (Retail/Grocery/FMCG preferred). Experience in managing multi-location warehouses and high-volume store dispatches. Proficient in WMS, ERP, SAP, TMS, Excel, and supply chain analytics tools. Strong leadership, people management, vendor negotiation, and execution capabilities.
