Freelance Senior Consultant - Drug Product Engineering

As a Senior Consultant Drug Product Engineering, your main focus will be to lead equipment maintenance, compliance, and engineering operations at a biopharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Malaysia. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading preventive and breakdown maintenance to ensure maximum plant uptime. - Troubleshooting equipment issues and coordinating with vendors for repairs and service. - Supporting equipment qualification (FAT/SAT/IQ/OQ/PQ) and facility upgrade projects. - Maintaining documentation, SOPs, logbooks, and ensuring GMP/EHS compliance. - Participating in internal/external audits and ensuring timely closure of findings. - Tracking maintenance KPIs and driving continuous improvement initiatives. - Managing spare parts, material planning, and facility upkeep. - Leading shift planning, team training, vendor evaluation, and safety practices. - Using SAP for maintenance notifications and work-order management. - Providing technical guidance to operators and junior engineers. - Contributing to energy efficiency and cost-saving projects across the facility. Qualifications Required: - Degree/Diploma in Engineering preferred. - Strong knowledge of preventive & breakdown maintenance for pharma/biopharma equipment. - Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and preventive maintenance. - Ability to manage spare parts, vendors, audits, and compliance requirements. - Proficiency in equipment troubleshooting, condition monitoring, and process/facility upkeep. - Skills in SAP (PM module) and documentation for work orders, logs, and maintenance records.
