Freelance Concept Artist

As a freelance concept artist for a kids app character design project, your role will involve creating the lead character design for an engaging and educational app aimed at kids aged 2 to 5. The character you design will serve as a friendly guide and mentor, assisting children in navigating through stories, activities, and learning experiences. Your task will be to bring this character to life by infusing warmth, personality, and a child-friendly visual style into your designs. Key Responsibilities: - Develop 23 initial rough concepts for the character - Create the finalized character design showcasing front, side, and back views - Optionally provide an expression sheet detailing different poses and expressions of the character Qualifications Required: - Prior experience in character concept art, preferably in children's media or mobile apps - Ability to craft expressive, stylized characters with distinct personalities - Proficiency in visual storytelling to engage the target audience - Understanding of design appeal for preschool-aged children - Capable of delivering sketches, turnarounds, and basic pose/expression sheets - Willingness to collaborate with the team and incorporate feedback throughout the design process In addition to the above requirements, please submit your portfolio showcasing relevant work in kids" media or stylized characters along with a brief explanation of why you believe you are well-suited for this project.
