Total yrs of exp: Current CTC: Expected CTC: Notice Period: About the role: We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Test Engineer to own, develop, and sustain automated test and finishing processes across ICT, FCT, EOL, and potting/curing operations for automotive electronic control units (ECUs) and assemblies. You will drive uptime, test coverage, data integrity, and first-time yield, working closely with Production, Quality, R&D, and Suppliers. Role & Responsibilities: Must have exp in manufacturing test engineering for automotive electronics (ECUs, sensors, telematics, BMS, etc.). Hands-on expertise with ICT (e.g., Keysight/Teradyne/SPEA/Seica), FCT/EOL testers, and fixture design/maintenance. Proficiency in test program development: LabVIEW/TestStand, Python, and/or C/C#/C++; ability to integrate instrumentation and communication stacks. Solid understanding of CAN/LIN/Ethernet, UDS diagnostics, flashing/bootloader flows, and boundary scan/JTAG. Proven track record improving FPY, reducing false failures, and achieving >98% station uptime. Working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, MSA, SPC, IATF 16949/ISO 9001, ESD controls, and JEDEC MSL handling. Strong troubleshooting using scopes, DMMs, SMUs, e loads, PSUs, and protocol analyzers; able to read schematics and test coverage reports. As a Manufacturing professional with expertise in SMT processes, production leadership, and performance metrics such as OEE, FPY, and DPMO, your role will involve overseeing and coordinating team activities during the assigned shift. You will be responsible for assigning tasks, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures, and maintaining smooth and efficient production operations to meet targets and deadlines. In case of operational issues, you will make decisions on the floor and escalate when necessary, collaborating with other departments for quick resolutions. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in training and coaching new employees on procedures and safety protocols, verifying daily maintenance of SMT equipment, recording production data, and participating in shift handovers. Your support for lean manufacturing initiatives, process improvements, and root cause analysis for production issues will be essential in maintaining high-quality standards. Key skills and experience required for this role include a degree or diploma in Engineering with at least 6 years of experience in Manufacturing Industries. You should have a solid understanding of OEE, FPY, and DPMO, as well as expertise in SMT processes like solder paste printing, pick-and-place, reflow soldering, AOI, SPI, and wave/selective soldering. Effective communication skills for cross-functional coordination and experience in MSL Material handling/ESD safety practices are also important. It would be advantageous if you are familiar with IPC standards, ESD safety practices, and ISO standards. Role & responsibilities Product & Process Quality Management Ensure quality at each stage of module manufacturing from incoming raw material to final module dispatch. Supervise in-process and final inspection activities (visual inspection, EL, IV, Hi-Pot, etc.) Ensure compliance with IEC 61215, IEC 61730, UL, and BIS standards during module testing and validation. Maintain and monitor key quality KPIs such as yield, rework, FPY, and scrap rate. Testing & Inspection Validate test results from equipment like EL tester, IV tester, Hi-Pot, and flash tester. Analyze and report non-conformities in testing parameters and drive resolution. Coordinate with equipment engineers for calibration and routine verification of test equipment. Problem Solving & Root Cause Analysis Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for product or process-related issues. Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) using tools such as 8D, 5 Why, Pareto, and FMEA. Work closely with cross-functional teams (production, maintenance, design) to address and prevent recurring issues. Documentation & Standards Compliance Maintain quality records, test reports, SOPs, and work instructions as per ISO 9001:2015 and other quality systems. Support internal, external, and customer audits with required documentation and evidence. Train junior staff and operators on quality processes and new inspection criteria. Supplier & Customer Interaction Handle customer quality complaints and ensure effective resolution. Support incoming quality team to evaluate critical raw materials (glass, EVA, backsheet, cells, etc.) Participate in supplier evaluations, audits, and performance improvement initiatives.
