Job Description: As a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) at the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, you will have the opportunity to work on a US-India joint project under the guidance of Prof. Sandeep Kumar Singh, Prof. Anshul Jaiswal, and Prof. Prem Kumar from Northwestern University, USA. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct research in the field of continuous-variable quantum key distribution (CV-QKD), quantum-noise-based stream cipher encryption, advanced modulation schemes, and FPGA programming for transmission and reception of classical and quantum optical signals. To be eligible for this role, you should hold an M.E/M. Tech. in Electronics & Communication or equivalent with a CGPA above 7.0 or a percentage greater than 70% aggregate, or a B.E./B.Tech. in Electronics & Communication or equivalent with a CGPA above 7.5 or percentage greater than 75% aggregate. Additionally, you must have qualified National Eligibility Tests- CSIR-UGC NET or GATE. The ideal candidate for this position will have exposure and interest in FPGA Programming, a strong background in Optical/Quantum Communication, and the ability to work with optical equipment such as Laser, PD, etc. You should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in technical writing and documentation, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment. Previous research experience and publications in relevant fields would be considered a plus. Job Description Test Engineering – Sustaining engineer in ICT – Grade A Basic Job Description In this position, the test engineer will oversee the upkeep of both customer-transferred and internally developed test systems. Additionally, the engineer will collaborate with customers and suppliers to create ICT fixtures & program for New Product Introduction (NPI) projects. This role requires active participation in the ICT development either internally or at the supplier's location, in accordance with customer specifications. He will also oversee the maintenance and management of the systems within his purview. The job responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to, the following tasks. Upkeep of the test systems which are developed inhouse or given by the customer including preventive maintenance, routine revalidations, improvements based on field failures etc. Test stations can be software driven fully automatic, semi-automatic and manual stations Troubleshoot Factory issues, such as test stations, programming issues, wrong test methods, etc Perform data analysis on test reports and supporting team who works on yield improvement Troubleshoot production yield issues and resolve test fixture/system related issues that can impact yield. Fault find to component level and co-ordinate with the customer for solutions. Work with customers to optimize the test methods in production and increase test coverage to ensure detectability of defects Setting up and designing Programming of FPGAs/Controllers in both offline and online modes as per the requirement.
