FPGA Engineer/Lead

As an FPGA Design Engineer at the company, your role involves designing and developing FPGA and FPGA-based SoCs for new electronic products. You will be responsible for a range of tasks, from simple hardware solutions to complex embedded processing systems. Your key responsibilities include: - Developing detailed specifications based on requirements and implementing FPGA designs accordingly. - Collaborating with the design team to evaluate alternatives based on performance, cost, and resources. - Performing implementation activities such as timing analysis and simulations. - Preparing validation plans and C-Sequences for validation tests. - Debugging using tools like Chip scope and Logic Analyser. - Collaborating with the verification team to complete verification of FPGA designs. - Participating in the bring-up of new FPGA-based hardware with support from firmware engineers. - Supporting hardware development through schematic design and PCB layout. - Documenting ideas, designs, specifications, and instructions to company standards. - Mentoring junior engineering staff to enhance design team abilities. In terms of qualifications, you are required to have: - Demonstrated skills in developing original designs with Verilog for FPGAs and/or FPGA-based SoCs. - Strong understanding of FPGA design concepts and integration with hardware and software. - Specific experience with common FPGA platforms like Xilinx. - Working knowledge of tools and methodologies used in FPGA development. - Experience with hardware development tools and troubleshooting hardware issues. - Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and follow established design procedures. - Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work across departments. Educational and other requirements for this role include: - A 4-year degree in ECE Engineering or a related discipline. - Minimum of 5 years of FPGA development experience. - Sound understanding of engineering principles. - Good academic background and enthusiasm to explore new areas.,
