Founding Engineer

As a Founding Engineer (Senior Full-Stack Lead) at AIRA based in Coimbatore (Hybrid location), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the development of a memory-native AI companion that provides instantaneous responses and never forgets. Your responsibilities will include leading the development of our next-generation chat experience, establishing the engineering culture, and influencing key decisions right from the outset. In the first 90 days, your primary objectives will be to deliver a high-performance chat Minimum Viable Product (MVP) with latency below 150ms (p95). You will be in charge of end-to-end engineering utilizing technologies such as React 19, Next.js 15, Node, FastAPI/Python, LangGraph/LangChain for orchestration, vector DB retrieval, caching layers, GitHub Actions for CI/CD pipelines, Docker containers, Grafana for observability, and defining "AIRA Engineering Standards" through clear RFCs to ensure top-notch code quality and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate must be proficient in the following tech stack: - Frontend: React 19, Next.js 15, TypeScript, Tailwind - Backend: Node.js, FastAPI (Python async), WebSockets, REST/gRPC - AI Plumbing: LangGraph/LangChain, vector DB (Pinecone/LanceDB), prompt engineering - DevOps: Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes (GKE/EKS), Grafana, automated rollbacks - Quality: Jest, Playwright, CI/CD You are encouraged to apply if you have a track record of shipping and scaling products to 10k Monthly Active Users (MAU) in a senior individual contributor/full-stack lead role.
