JD - Design Manager Location - Chennai Experience - 10+ Years Notice - Immediate to 2 Months 1. Candidate should have Knowledge about the systems, FOTS, CCTV, ACID, PIDS, PAS, TEL, MCK, TSCADA RADIO, and TSCADA, also having in-depth Knowledge about any of the three systems mentioned above. 2. Responsible for complete system design engineering, verification, validation and day to day technical support to project. 3. Lead Preparation, Review and Validation of Telecom Sub-System Documents viz. Design documents (PDD & FDD), Interface plans & procedures (DID/DCID), various Test Plan & Procedure and Reports, O&M manuals, Training Manuals, List of spares, tools & test equipment, other technical documents & technical management plans etc. 4. Work closely with Installation team & CADD engineers & provide required inputs for preparation of various drawings viz. Equipment location & cable routing, Block wiring diagrams, CCTV coverage drawings, etc. Monitor the progress, review the drawings & ensure timely submission. 5. Review and Validation of Designs/drawings for all Telecom Sub-Systems. Responsible to ensure all system technical compliance with contract technical specifications. Review & maintain database of all system suppliers' technical compliances. Report & resolve deviations if any. 6. Responsible for maintaining & updating each systems detailed Bill of Material, Verification and Validation of System Requirements. Responsible to respond and address all technical queries and comments to client. Coordinate with system suppliers. 7. Monitoring site testing progress, preparing T&C progress status, preplanning of the site testing activities. 8. Lead and work closely with CADD engineer for Preparation of site related as-built / red line documents and drawings. 9. Coordination with other disciplines/contractors/Liaison with other departments to cater Technical Interfacing issues. 10. Attend & lead technical meetings with client, other designated contractors etc. Report & control contract technical scope & follow change management process. 11. Support to the DLP team and addressing the systems issues, Installation Team for Installation, Testing & Commissioning of Telecom Sub-Systems. 12. Purpose of the Job Responsible for designing the various Telecom sub-systems (specially Networking / FOTS/DTS etc ) for Urban/Mainline projects based on the project requirements. Required Experience/Skills Minimum 3 to 4 years relevant experience in rail Telecom domain or IT/Telecom industry as independent contributor. Experience in designing the various Telecom sub-systems to meet customer's design , operational and functional requirements. Should have experience and knowledge of developing various interfaces of Telecom with other systems like SIG , Rolling stock etc. Systems Thinking mindset / acumen. Competency expected Flexible and resilience to work on multiple projects at a time depending on requirements. Team orientation Aptitude to understand customer requirements and translating it to Architecture & Design documents to meet the project deadlines with minimum iterations. Effective communication
