We are currently seeking a Specialist Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) Compliance (m/f/d) to join our Sustainability and Technical Compliance team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring Free and Open Source Software compliance for our delivered software, which includes legal regulations, industry standards, customer standards, and management of software rights. Your key responsibilities will include: - Ensuring compliance of Open Source Software used in product development - Acting as an interface to Schaeffler Emobility division for supporting license compliance review - Coordinating with engineering and legal teams for open source compliance activities throughout the product life cycle - Reviewing software architecture and design with regards to OSS usage - Reviewing OSS components and approving their usage in software development - Coordinating with external vendors for OSS compliance - Maintaining FOSS Bill of Materials - Managing and escalating risks/incidents related to FOSS non-compliance - Clarifying and interpreting Legal Technical Regulations relevance - Interface with 3rd party process responsible for updating FOSS compliance standards - Organizing and maintaining a global network within the engineering community for knowledge exchange on FOSS compliance Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Computer Science, Telecommunication) - 1-3 years of working experience with Open Source software development and design - Knowledge of Open Source Software architecture/Platforms - Advanced communication, team working, and networking skills - Experience with Linux OS will be preferred - Hands-on experience with Open Source Licensing & Compliance and Scripting would be an advantage - Professional experience in automotive function and software development would be an added advantage - Extended knowledge about Schaeffler Product Portfolio At Schaeffler, we value diversity and respect among our global workforce.
