An AC technician in the hotel industry is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency. Key responsibilities include ¹ ² ³: - Main Duties: - Installation and Maintenance: Install and maintain HVAC systems, including air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating systems. - Troubleshooting: Identify and fix faults or issues with HVAC equipment, and perform routine maintenance and inspections. - Repairs: Perform repairs on HVAC systems, including replacing parts, cleaning condenser and evaporator coils, and greasing bearings on blower motors. - Guest Interaction: - Respond to guest complaints and resolve HVAC-related issues promptly. - Take feedback from guests to ensure satisfaction. - Technical Requirements: - Read and understand blueprints, technical manuals, and work orders. - Operate hand and power tools, and use safety equipment. - Possess basic computer skills, including inputting data and making temperature changes. - Preventive Maintenance: - Plan and execute scheduled maintenance tasks, including cleaning and inspecting HVAC equipment. - Maintain records of work done, time records, and preventive maintenance records. - Collaboration: - Coordinate with other departments and staff to ensure efficient HVAC operation. - Communicate with hotel staff and management regarding HVAC updates, repairs, and preventive maintenance schedules.
