As a Senior Network Engineer at Equiniti Group, you will be responsible for a combination of implementation/installation and operational support for the network estate and Data Centres. Working with multi-vendor technologies such as switches (IOS and NX-OS, Junos), routers (ASRs and ISRs), and firewalls (ASA-X, Juniper, and Checkpoint UTM SPLAT), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the network infrastructure. In this role, you will be required to participate in on-call duties for 5 to 7 weeks a year, demonstrating your commitment to ensuring the network's availability and performance. Your key skills should include experience with Public Cloud networking (AWS and Azure), Cloud Connectivity, Cloud firewall, Market place, 3rd party SDx modules, network automation using tools like Terraform and Ansible, and expertise in Cisco Technologies (Routing, switching, VPN) including Cisco Routers, Cisco Firewall Security, Cisco Switches, and Virtual Private Network (VPN) configurations. A good understanding of different WAN technologies, traditional MPLS-like and SD-WAN, along with experience in Juniper and Fortinet Technologies for Firewalls, Routers, Switches, and Wireless Network will be valuable assets in this role. Demonstrating Infrastructure as code and experience with load-balancing technologies such as F5 and KEMP, as well as DNS platforms, will further enhance your capabilities. Desirable qualifications for this position include a minimum of 10 years of experience in the Network field, hands-on expertise in Security platforms, troubleshooting Routing and Switching protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, STP, HSRP, TCP/IP, IPSEC), as well as strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Possessing certifications like CCNP, ITIL v3 Foundation or Advanced, Graduate Degree B.Sc. or equivalent, and F5 Certified would be advantageous.
