You will be responsible for managing the R&D, Regulatory, and Technical Services functions for Buckman Asia Pacific. This includes overseeing Product Development requirements in the APAC region, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders for the development and introduction of new products, and reformulating existing products for enhanced quality, cost efficiency, and regulatory compliance. Additionally, you will ensure regulatory compliance across different industries such as Paper and Pulp, Leather, and Water Treatment, including knowledge of product regulatory requirements in various APAC countries. To qualify for this role, you should have a degree in Organic Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Polymer Science, or a relevant discipline, along with more than 7 years of experience in R&D and formulation of products, preferably in industries like Pulp and Paper, Water Treatment, Leather, and Formulator sectors. You must possess a proven track record in managing the Phase and Gate process for evaluating and introducing new technologies, as well as experience in laboratory organization and team management. Your responsibilities will include effectively leading and developing the Research and Development, Technical Services, and Quality Management teams, managing product development processes, introducing new products and technologies to support growth, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of technical reports, and overseeing Quality Management and Regulatory Compliance to maintain SHERQ policies and procedures. Additionally, you will work towards ensuring limited or zero non-conformities and staying updated on current and anticipated regulatory requirements.
