The primary objective of this role is to provide analytical support for Group Engineering development and operational activities in a safe, professional, efficient, and cost-effective manner. Your responsibilities will include reviewing, identifying gaps, and developing mathematical models to support various product lines, aiming to provide reliable data for service delivery and performance prediction for client jobs. Additionally, you will provide support for analytical model development, including formula development and analysis. You should be able to collaborate effectively across a wide range of Physical and Engineering disciplines. Generating intellectual property to enhance the performance of CaTS systems and improve the company's commercial position will be a key aspect of your role. Conducting laboratory experiments, ensuring comprehensive documentation of projects, and performing internal or external studies as required by the line manager are also part of your responsibilities. Furthermore, you will be involved in the execution of Finite Element modeling using tools like Comsol, adhering to quality management system requirements, and assisting in the development of written procedures to manage analytical activities. Desirable experience includes proficiency in Visual Basic, Python, Comsol, analysis of environmental sensor data, physical fluid dynamics modeling, or a background in chemical analysis. As the job holder, you will report directly to the Engineering Manager and collaborate with other specialist disciplines within Group Engineering and Product lines to ensure the successful delivery of Expro's services based on mathematical models and modeling analysis. It is crucial to maintain a rigorous approach to investigation, possess a degree in Physics, Engineering, or Mathematics with experience in modeling real-world sensor-based systems, demonstrate the ability to model physical situations, and have a background in supporting multidisciplinary engineering development teams with modeling and data analysis.
