TRole & responsibilities Prepare monthly TDS workings across applicable sections (e.g., 194C, 194J, 194H, 195). Ensure timely payment and reconciliation of TDS with books. File quarterly TDS returns and manage corrections via TRACES. Handle Form 15CA/CB filings for foreign remittances in coordination with Chartered Accountants. Assist in preparation and filing of corporate income tax returns. Support computation of taxable income and final tax liability. Ensure compliance with latest amendments under the Income Tax Act. Post monthly journal entries for TDS, advance tax, and provisions. Reconcile tax GL accounts and ensure accurate reporting. Maintain documentation for tax payments, returns, and assessments. Prepare clause-wise tax audit schedules including TDS disallowances under Section 40(a)(ia), Payments to related parties, other disclosures under Form 3CD Coordinate with tax auditors for queries and documentation. Ensure timely and accurate submission of tax audit reports. Prepare direct tax-related schedules for statutory audit. Support auditors with reconciliations, workings, and documentation. Address audit queries related to tax provisions, payments, and disclosures. Assist in preparation of deferred tax asset/liability schedules. Ensure accurate reporting in financial statements in coordination with finance and audit teams. Preferred candidate profile 5-8 yrs of work ex (pref an Inter CA/CMA ( Direct Taxation Experience) Strong understanding of Indian direct tax laws, especially TDS and corporate taxation. Familiarity with TRACES, income tax portal, and Form 15CA/CB procedures. Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting systems (SAP). Ability to manage deadlines and coordinate across teams.
