As a Mechanical Engineer specialized in New Product Development within the Automotive industry, you will be responsible for the following key deliverables: - Executing New Product Development projects based on project requirements using APQP methodology, CDMM DE Role - Axle & Transmission. - Possessing a comprehensive understanding of gear RM, Forging process, gear parameters, gear cutting processes, Heat treatment, Axle manufacturing Process, and CV shaft. - Demonstrating proficiency in interpreting Drawings, DIN Standards, and Gear cutting tools such as HOB, Grinding cutter, and other Machining Processes. - Showcasing expertise in developing Precision Quality Gears. - Defining product and process requirements, as well as identifying and mapping the supplier base. - Conducting technical synthesis and obtaining sign-off from stakeholders. - Sharing RFQs and conducting Manufacturing Feasibility studies. - Planning and executing FTG, as well as performing ZBC for part & FTG. - Establishing Run at rate / Capacity in alignment with volume Projections. - Leading VAVE workshops for cost reduction initiatives. - Demonstrating a strong understanding of PFMEA, Control Plan, Quality tools, Problem Solving techniques, and GD&T. As a Mechanical Engineer specializing in Axle & Transmission for the Automotive industry, you will be responsible for key deliverables related to New Product Development. Your role will involve working on projects through APQP and CDMM DE, ensuring adherence to project requirements. Your responsibilities will include possessing a deep understanding of gear raw materials, forging processes, gear parameters, gear cutting techniques, heat treatment, axle manufacturing processes, and CV shaft. It is essential for you to be well-versed in interpreting drawings, DIN standards, and gear cutting tools such as HOB and Grinding cutter, along with other machining processes. You should have hands-on experience in developing high-precision quality gears and be capable of defining product and process requirements. Mapping the supplier base and conducting technical synthesis and sign-off with stakeholders will be part of your daily activities. Additionally, you will be required to share RFQs, conduct Manufacturing Feasibility studies, and plan and execute FTG activities. Establishing run rates and capacities as per volume projections, organizing VAVE workshops for cost reduction, and ensuring compliance with PFMEA, Control Plan, Quality tools, and GD&T standards are crucial aspects of this role. The ideal candidate for this position should hold a B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 4 to 6 years of relevant industry experience. To perform the development of New Forging products and processes. Take guidance from the senior team members. To perform 2D and 3D technical drawings for the Product. To maintain adherence of IATF 16949 for every document and report. Involve in the process flow, including forging operations, heat treatment, and machining stages. To execute the New Tool designing. Role & responsibilities Working towards the achievement of established quality policy and quality objectives Control of records pertaining to Quality department Monitor and analyze the process conditions to improve the Quality efficiency achieve higher quality of Heat Treatment, Forging & Casting Testing Maintaining process and output parameters like temperature, cycle time, bath concentrations and hardness, strength, microstructure, etc. Knowledge of relationship between various process parameters like furnace temperature, pressure, carbon potential, gas flow for endothermic process, cycle time for heating during the heat treatment process, etc. Able to be dealing with Metallurgical lab inspection, All types of Row material Testing. Knowledge of Induction Hardening & Induction Softening Inspection Knowledge of methods used to test hardness of metals and the usage of hardness testing machines in laboratories Implementation and Adherence of Countermeasure for Customer Complaint and Audits. Should be able to work in ERP System and making presentation, knowledge of 5s, Kaizen and Poka-Yoke etc.. Experience is preferable in Forging and Machining industry. Preferred candidate profile Priority will be given to candidates from Gujarat Location, whether they are currently working in Gujarat or outside Gujarat. Ensuring maintenance of proper documentation for maintaining compliance with quality requirements in accordance with IATF 16949:2016, OHSAS18001 and ISO14001 Standard. Diploma / B.E. (Metallurgist) with 15 to 20 years of experience, minimum 05 years experience in relevant position.

Should have worked in and help scale entrepreneur led organizations to grow into corporate entities. Experience in leading multiple departments including design, estimation, tool room, NPD and quality assurance. Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Metallurgy, Materials Science, or related field). M.E. or M. Tech. in Mechanical or Metallurgy Engineering in a relevant field is a plus. Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of non-ferrous forging processes (e.g., aluminum, copper, titanium), materials, and applications.
