As the Manager of Strategic Forecasting at Integrated Research and Forecasting (IRF), a global function focusing on long-range pharmaceutical asset forecasting within Human Health (Oncology, Vaccines, Hospital Specialty / Primary care), you will play a crucial role in supporting division planning and decision-making processes across various functional areas such as finance, manufacturing, product development, and commercial. Your responsibilities will include driving synergies, fostering innovation, and creating solutions to enhance planning processes. You will be an integral part of the Vaccines strategic forecasting team based in Pune, where robust forecasting is essential due to its significant impact on various business disciplines. Your expertise in both qualitative and quantitative forecasting methods will be crucial in achieving realistic potential forecasts. You will be expected to implement advanced analytics techniques such as Monte Carlo simulations, agent-based modeling, conjoint frameworks, NLP, clustering, etc., to enhance the forecasting vertical. Key responsibilities include: - Demonstrating strong pharmaceutical knowledge and project management skills in one or multiple therapy areas - Conceptualizing and delivering forecasts and analytical solutions using strategic and statistical techniques within your area of responsibility - Driving continuous enhancements to improve forecasting capabilities, focusing on value-add and identifying key forecasting insights to support decision-making - Collaborating with stakeholders from various departments (MMD, Human Health, Finance, Research, Country, senior leadership) to build robust assumptions and enhance forecast accuracy over time - Implementing innovation and automation to enhance forecasting processes and efficiency, incorporating best-in-class statistical forecasting methods for improved accuracy - Communicating effectively with stakeholders, identifying and resolving conflicts proactively - Ensuring timely delivery of forecasts with allocated resources - Determining the optimal forecasting method based on context, data availability, desired accuracy level, and timeline constraints Your role as the Manager of Strategic Forecasting will be critical in driving informed decision-making processes and enhancing forecasting capabilities within the organization.
