As a Camera & Lighting Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our cinematography and production teams during live shoots. Your responsibilities will include setting up lighting equipment, assisting with camera rig preparation, managing power and cables on set, responding promptly to cinematographer instructions, ensuring the safe transport of gear, and providing support in equipment maintenance and footage management. You will work closely with cinematographers and production leads, contributing to the success of each shot and gaining valuable hands-on experience in video production. This foundation-level technical position offers substantial growth opportunities within the field. To excel in this role, you should have at least 2 years of experience in film or video production, with a basic understanding of lighting concepts such as soft vs. hard light, color temperature, and diffusion. Familiarity with video equipment like tripods, LED panels, DSLRs, or cinema cameras is essential. Additionally, being physically fit to handle heavy gear, remaining calm and efficient under pressure, and possessing excellent communication skills are key requirements.
