KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Pipeline Development: Design, develop, and maintain software tools and systems for VFX production pipelines to streamline and automate workflows. Code Best Practices: Champion best practices, including TDD, peer reviews, and clean coding standards. Qualifications Education: bachelors or masters degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Experience: minimum of 8 years of software development experience, preferably in a VFX or animation studio environment. Proven experience with Python and C++ development. Strong understanding of modern software design patterns, architecture principles, and SOLID principles. Expertise in Clean Architecture, CQRS, and other architectural styles. Proficiency in TDD and other testing methodologies. Familiarity with development tools such as Git, Docker, and Rez package management. Bonus Skills: experience with VFX tools (e.g., Nuke, Maya, Houdini), knowledge of project management frameworks and tools (e.g., Agile, Jira, Asana), familiarity with cloud services for production pipelines.
