Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Chef at Fog and Fern Café located in Dharampur, Kasauli, Himachal Pradesh . The Chef will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals, creating menus, managing kitchen staff, ordering supplies, ensuring food safety and hygiene, and maintaining kitchen equipment. Other tasks include monitoring food inventory levels, keeping up-to-date with food industry trends, and providing an excellent dining experience for our guests. Qualifications Experience in preparing and cooking a variety of dishes Skills in menu creation and kitchen staff management Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards Ability to order supplies and manage food inventory Proficiency in maintaining kitchen equipment Excellent time management and organisational skills Strong leadership and communication skills Previous experience in a similar role is preferred Culinary degree or equivalent experience. Requirements Proven experience as a Chef or Cook, preferably in cafés, bistros, or boutique eateries. Strong culinary knowledge, particularly in continental, chinese, indian, fusion, or café-style menus. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple orders efficiently. Excellent attention to detail, creativity, and presentation skills. Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety practices. Passion for sustainability, local produce, and artisanal food culture.
