As a Staff member in the R&D - Mechatronics department, you will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and integration of mechatronics systems in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Your role will involve understanding cost drivers associated with systems, considering lifecycle costs, quantifying financial benefits of automation projects, and meeting or exceeding customer expectations with user-friendly systems. You will work towards improving PQCDMSE from concept through prototyping, optimizing test set-ups, automation, and data collection processes with the Cross-Functional Team (CFT). Conducting DFMEA and FMD for systems and sub-systems, preparing architectures for machines in the Electrical/Software domain, SRS & HRS for machine application requirements, and integrating electrical systems to ensure optimum performance will be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will create validation plans, analyze data, prepare machine BOM, design documents, and operating instruction manuals. Implementing new technologies for control system optimization, data-driven process analysis for continuous improvement, and adopting an iterative design approach for control systems are crucial tasks. You will also prepare detailed requirements for hardware and software teams, validation and verification plans for ensuring the reliability of electrical systems, and adhere to business excellence initiatives. This position requires a thorough understanding of mechatronics systems, strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a team to deliver high-quality and innovative solutions.
