As a Passive Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of passive network infrastructure. This includes working with fiber optics, structured cabling, racks, patch panels, conduits, and related components to ensure that physical network systems are efficiently installed, securely maintained, and meet industry standards. Your key responsibilities will include: - Installing, terminating, and testing fiber optic and copper cables such as Cat5e and Cat6. - Setting up racks, patch panels, conduits, and cable trays in commercial and industrial environments. - Performing splicing, fusion, and connectorization of fiber optics. - Utilizing tools like OTDR, VFL, and Fluke testers for fiber and copper cable testing. - Diagnosing and resolving cable faults, breakages, and connectivity issues. - Maintaining cable labeling, diagrams, and reports. - Ensuring installations adhere to TIA/EIA, BICSI, and industry safety standards. - Collaborating with network engineers, project managers, and IT teams. - Coordinating with vendors and suppliers for materials and equipment. In this role, your attention to detail, technical expertise, and ability to work effectively in a team will be essential for successfully completing projects and ensuring the reliability of network infrastructure.,
