Role Title: Scientist - Research & Development Department/Function: Research & Development (Innovation) Reporting Structure: - Reports to: Innovation - Direct Reports: None Role Summary: Immuneel is looking for a Scientist for Research & Development (Innovation). The candidate must have a strong understanding of various processes like design, Immunology/Molecular Biology. Key deliverables will be to drive projects and programs innovation-related research and development activities or work cross-functionally to build and progress Immuneel's cell and gene therapy product pipeline. Key Responsibilities: - Independently design, plan and personally conduct Immunology/Molecular Biology-based studies in vitro - Think innovatively and design studies accordingly - Interact cross-functionally to fulfill all job responsibilities - Contribute to projects as part of the R&D matrix - Stay updated on published literature related to areas of interest - Evaluation of new technologies for experimental goals - Present posters/talks, publish research articles, and patents - Industry standard Documentation: Experimental records, Protocols & Reports. Qualifications: M.Sc. in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Medical Laboratory Technology Experience: M.Sc. with minimum 1-3 years of experience in flowcytometry and molecular biology techniques . Preference will be given to candidates with hands-on experience of fluorescent and confocal microscopy along with flowcytometry Work Responsibilities: 1. Flow cytometer Maintenance : Periodic cleaning and maintenance of flowcytometer as directed by the Scientist In charge 2. Molecular and Flow cytometry based experiment Performing basic molecular biology experiments like nucleic acid extraction, PCRs, sample preparation for flowcytometer, running samples on flowcytometer and analyzing the data 3. Imaging facility : The candidate is required to well verse themselves with the imaging facility in the lab (both confocal and fluorescence microscope) and operate the equipment as required 4. Maintaining stock inventory of flowcytometer and confocal reagents – Maintain log books, booking records, inventory and other paperwork related to the equipment(s) 5. Assisting other Scientists and Group Heads in their experiments as per requirements

The Center for Advanced Neurological Research at KS Hegde Medical Academy, a constituent college of NITTE (Deemed-to-be University) in Mangalore, Karnataka, is looking for a Scientist Grade 1. The research center, led by Professor Lekha Pandit, a renowned clinician researcher, focuses on autoimmune central nervous system disorders. Professor Pandit has patented two diagnostic live cell based assays for antibody mediated CNS demyelinating disorders. The current research at the center includes molecular biomarkers, microbial influences on CNS demyelinating disorders, and animal models of disease. This position offers the opportunity to enhance research abilities, translate clinical findings to basic science research, and collaborate on international studies. Candidates with expertise in microbiology/molecular biology, particularly in cell culture and flow cytometry, with a minimum of one year postdoc experience in India/Abroad and a proven track record of research publications are preferred. The ideal candidate should possess strong research skills and a commitment to teamwork in a disciplined environment. The salary for this position is as per norms.
