Job Summary:

The Floor Boring Machine Operator is responsible for setting up and operating floor boring machines to perform precise boring, facing, and drilling operations on large or heavy workpieces as per engineering drawings and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings, blueprints, and job instructions.
• Set up floor boring machines with appropriate tools, fixtures, and workpieces.
• Align, secure, and balance heavy components accurately on the machine bed.
• Perform boring, facing, drilling, and related machining operations as required.
• Monitor machining operations and adjust feeds, speeds, and controls for optimum results.
• Inspect machined components using precision measuring instruments like Vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and dial indicators to ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning to ensure proper functioning.
• Maintain daily production records and ensure timely completion of jobs.
• Follow all safety protocols, wear appropriate PPE, and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Coordinate with supervisors, maintenance, and quality departments for any issues or deviations.

Key Skills & Requirements:

• Proven experience operating floor boring machines (horizontal or vertical).
• Strong knowledge of machine setup, tool selection, and workpiece alignment.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T symbols.
• Familiarity with boring bars, facing heads, and boring tools.
• Good knowledge of machining parameters, feeds, speeds, and cutting conditions.
• Skilled in using precision measuring instruments and inspection techniques.
• Physically fit to handle large and heavy workpieces safely.
• Basic troubleshooting and maintenance knowledge for boring machines.
• Awareness of industrial safety practices.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
