Roles & Responsibilities: To oversee day-to-day manufacturing activities on the shop floor, ensuring timely and efficient production of strainers, in adherence to quality, safety, and delivery standards. Production Supervision: - Supervise and coordinate all shop floor activities related to fabrication, welding, assembly, and testing of strainers. - Ensure production schedules are met with respect to quantity, quality, and timelines. - Allocate manpower and resources effectively for each stage of production. - Monitor machine and equipment usage to maximize productivity. Quality Control: - Ensure all components and finished products meet drawing specifications, welding standards (WPS/PQR), and inspection protocols. - Collaborate with the QC department for in-process and final inspection of strainers. - Identify defects and initiate corrective/preventive actions. Coordination & Documentation: - Coordinate with Planning, Design, Procurement, and Maintenance teams for smooth workflow. - Maintain daily production logs, manpower records, downtime logs, and material usage reports. - Ensure proper marking, traceability, and documentation as per project and QMS requirements. Shop Floor Discipline: - Maintain 5S on the shop floor. - Ensure safety protocols, PPE compliance, and incident reporting. - Promote teamwork, resolve interpersonal conflicts, and lead by example.Training & Skill Development: - Identify skill gaps in welders, fitters, and operators and coordinate training. - Mentor junior supervisors or team leads.
