It is the responsibility of the Piping Mechanical/Stress Engineer to: Carry out the necessary calculations to ensure that all loading conditions, which may be experienced by a piping system, are considered and catered for, within the design. Ensure that piping systems comply fully with the stress analysis requirements specified Issue approved stress isometrics for critical lines as required. Prepare stress calculations and nozzle loads summaries demonstrating Code compliance and prepare a Stress Analysis Report containing calculations and information for each piping system analyzed (when required by the Client). Confirm that the design of piping, pipe supports, and piping mechanical special piping (SP) items are in accordance with the requirements of the applicable ASME codes, industry standards and all applicable project, client and Company procedures and specifications. The Candidate shall be able to perform Pipe Stress Analysis Calculations Plant Layout Comments - loads to all other disciplines Piping Mechanical Specifications Special Studies Special Piping (SP) Item Calculations, Drawings, and Data Sheets Special Piping (SP) Item Requisition Worksheets Pipe Support Drawings Pipe Support Requisition Worksheets Pipe Support Locations Knowledge of Caesar II software to perform flexibility analysis Knowledge of Support selection and support design , spl support Drawing creation Should be well verse in Fatigue/Blast, FPSO Hog, Sag and structural consideration Knowledge of Navis Model / Review Reality is a must Knowledge of AIV/FIV is preferable Excellent skill to Guide young engineers to perform the work Knowledge in Pml macros development will be added advantage

We have an urgent requirement for a Piping Stress Engineer (Oil and Gas) at Vadodara Location for our MNC client. The duration of the project is 01 Year TPC with the possibility of extension. We are looking for candidates with 3 to 10 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry. The ideal candidate should have a qualification of BE/B. Tech. in Mechanical Engineering. As a Piping Stress Engineer, your responsibilities will include the preparation of documents related to stress analysis such as Line index and Flexibility analysis (both Static and Dynamic) of piping systems. You will also be required to prepare datasheets for springs, expansion joints, struts, and snubbers, review vendor drawings, and conduct technical bid analysis. An essential part of the role will involve document review, submission, and incorporation of comments. Proficiency in CAESAR II software for stress analysis is a must. Additionally, the candidate should be well-versed in the use of International and National codes and Standards related to layout and piping engineering. In this role, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the piping design, analysis, and optimization processes for intricate power plant and energy ventures. Your expertise will be pivotal in delivering top-notch engineering solutions and directing a diverse team of professionals. Your tasks will include managing various piping design components such as layouts, isometric drawings, and 3D models. You will conduct stress and flexibility analysis utilizing tools like CAESAR II or equivalent software. Developing piping specifications, Material Take-Offs (MTOs), and line lists will also be part of your mandate. Ensuring adherence to industry standards such as ASME, API, and project-specific requirements is crucial. Additionally, your involvement in design reviews, 3D model assessments, and risk assessment workshops will be essential. Collaboration with vendors, addressing technical queries, and providing support during construction, commissioning, and startup phases will also be expected. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferably with a PE license) and possess over 15 years of experience in piping engineering within the power or oil & gas sectors. A solid background in combined cycle power plants and gas turbines is essential. Proficiency in tools like CAESAR II, AutoCAD, and PDMS/SP3D is required. An in-depth understanding of safety protocols, regulations, and environmental standards is necessary. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset are highly valued.
