Your role involves feasibility studies, testing, and guiding teams in detailed design and fabrication. You provide the crucial design information needed to shape our technology's packaging. In this role, you will directly contribute to the design and development of sub-systems and assemblies used in Semi-conductor machines. What You’ll Do Lead a team to drive engineering excellence, optimize and implement solutions for projects as part of trouble shooting at customer or supplier end, continuous improvement programs (CIP), cost reduction, reliability improvement and RCCAs. Support staffing, training, mentoring & coaching, and strategic planning to build capacity and capability. Lead medium to high complex sub-system related projects with full ownership through product life cycle of mechanical and electro-mechanical systems from concept to productization including, designing, CAD modeling, development, and testing / validation. Continually work towards expanding ownership on adjacent modules by acquiring new capabilities. Lead design reviews, project reviews and participate in technical discussions. Mentor team for successfully completing design reviews and action items. Collaboration with cross functional teams to develop robust design solutions that ensure functionality, safety, manufacturability, serviceability, cost advantage, etc. Being accountable for delivering on time with quality as part of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and obtaining necessary approval from stakeholders by following Product Development and Release (PDR) process. Ensure documentation and alignment with SEMI, Lam standards, and industry best practices for geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T). Provide support to engineering and field service teams for capital equipment at the Lam labs, factory and in the field. Handle customer escalations, field problems including troubleshooting, containment actions, failure analysis report & corrective actions. Conduct detailed analysis including material selection, structural, dynamic, and thermal, and manufacturability assessment. Develop, conduct and mentor feasibility studies and test plans to characterize and validate design performance. Create and edit procedures for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and maintenance recommendation guide.
